This looks like a nice improvement to install SRO. But I can't justify the price to buy a new slide just for that. BobRockefeller 8 posts. Racinreadyex 6 posts.
Boomstick 5 posts. How snug was the fit of the SRO into the mounting cutout? Could never hurt to contact them. He didn't send the barrel or anything. My gut tells me they would not trade or just hand out slides though. You never know till you ask. The SRO is not a snug fit on mine. There is a gap both front and back. I chose to mount it with a Springer Precision plate. I can't speak to when this was manufactured since I purchased it second-hand, but it arrived today and has all these holes.
I'm guessing they are now compatible with more stuff? So a Trijicon SRO should mount direct to this slide without the need for an adapter plate? I have the same hole pattern. MFG date 27 February Had to take a slide to the hardware store to,figure it out. Something I mentioned before in this thread, is that if that optic does not fit snug in the cutout only the screws used to mount the optic are taking the brunt of the shearing force as the slide reciprocates.
Every adapter plate I have used has tabs that index the optic and share that shearing force with the screws. Something to keep in mind. There is gap at the front and back of the optic, so the screws are all thats holding it. Its feels solid and held zero but I only fired a small number of rounds with it mounted this way.
I definitely feel more comfortable using the optic plate but wanted to give it a try since it's lower to the slide.By BelRioseJune 6, in Sig. What solutions exist for marrying the Venom with the X5? What mounting solutions are out there, and what works best? Think Springer precision make adapter plates. The Romeo 1 mounts directly to the X5. The Leupold Deltapoint Pro will also with some filing on the slide.Springer Precision Base Plate For Sig Sauer P320
Anything else will have to use an adapter plate. Hello: I am using a Springer adapter plate for my Holosun C. It fits very well so far and seems to work with no fitting required. It puts the dot in about the same place as the Romeo 1 that I had on it. More testing to come this week. Thanks, Eric. Looks like the Springer adapter is the way to go, then. Or just go Romeo 1 for the least invasive method possible.
I ended up getting the Springer Plate and putting it on last night. After some slight modifications to my RHT holster, it looks like I'm good to go. I'm planning to sight it in this weekend and hopefully see what all the fuss is about dots on pistols.
I'd like to keep one around with the original sights on it for convenience in case I get the urge to shoot Production or a 3 Gun division that doesn't allow dots. I know I can always pull off the Springer adapter and reinstall the sights, but it would be nice if I could just swap slides. For an infinitely customizable gun, the is actually fairly hard to customize at a decent price minus the grip modules.
Unless I'm missing something with my searches, I don't think there's an X5 slide available on the website.

Some things you have to call them direct; like I want a magwell for my X5 and it isn't on the website alone but I managed to e-mail Sig and they said they can sell me one over the phone. The more I look into it, the weirder it seems. The gun is advertised as a mix-n-match lego gun maybe slightly exaggerated. Blaser has been doing this with their rifles and that is part of why they have had the success they have That said, for folks in places with none of those restrictions, your observations are spot on Check out Top Gun Supply, they have lots of Sig parts and modules, I've ordered two trips from them and it was good transactions.

I actually purchased this last week for my M17 to shoot suppressed with an RMR. I have yet to get another front sight to correct this. Also, while looking for threaded barrels for the M17 I only found the silencerco full length threaded barrel for the P The only issue is that it does not have the LCI cut like the M17 barrel does.
You realize that the LCI is at the rim of the cartridge and that when you shoot the brass expands creating a seal? You either have barrel issues, underloaded ammo, or you are using a silencer with an unlubricated piston resulting in malfunctions. That being said the only difference with this pistol opposed from the others I suppress was a hole at the top of the barrel and a groove in the slide where the LCI fit.
Either way ordered another one and filed it down to fit with the barrel and oddly it fixed the issue….

This polymer gun weighs in at This does several things for the shooter. First it will reduce felt recoil and make the pistol a flatter shooter, and give you the ability to get on that next steel plate quicker. Also, being a polymer gun, with the weight of a steel gun, it has a very unique recoil impulse because the polymer has a little flex and the weight just gives it kind of the best of both worlds scenarios in terms of recoil. Out of the box, the P Legion will come with really nice Dawson fiberoptic front sight and an adjustable rear; but more importantly it comes fully optic ready.
I also wanted to co-witness the dot with my iron sights, so I removed the front sight as well and replaced them with SIG LITE suppressor height sights. I really like running optics on pistols like this, it helps me find the dot a little quicker and I feel I can move from target to target a little faster.
The recoil system is also dramatically different than any other P Instead of a captive system, the legion X5 has a 1 piece guide rod, and you can change the weight of the spring you use. I actually switched mine out to the lighter 12 pound spring, and it worked flawlessly with everything we ran through it.
This guide rod is designed to not just work like abut you can further tailor it because it will work with any recoil spring. Lighter recoil springs make the felt recoil ever so slightly lighter, and just make the gun feel faster. Like I said, we still had perfect reliability with the lighter 12 pound spring that comes in the box.
However, if I were going to complain about anything in this package, the trigger would be it. I have to admit, I do wish the reset was a little shorter, and I personally would be willing to pay a bit more to get it. It's a small thing, and really the only slight blemish on an amazing package. To be honest, if it really bothers you, you could probably buy this gun and an aftermarket trigger, and still have considerably less in cost than any of the competition.
Another highlight is the grip itself. It has a good texture to it, and I love the design and feel on this grip module.
The beavertail along with the generous undercut feels very good in the hand. The massive flared magwell is also another nice touch. It comes with 3 17 round mags that have awesome legion marked metal plates, another nice little touch.
The top of the slide has some lightening cuts, which may seem odd on a gun this heavy, but what they are doing here is by lightening the slide and having a very heavy frame, giving the pistol the absolute best recoil impulse possible.
The Sig P X5 Legion has been nothing but reliable, it was so enjoyable to shoot that we blew way past the normal rounds we do in a review. This thing is probably approaching rounds without cleaning or maintenance of any kind, and it's still running perfectly. With the somewhat unique, although overwhelmingly pleasant recoil impulse from the X5 Legion, this thing just wants to be run fast.
That brings up another thing, this gun is just a ton of fun to shoot. The ergonomics are great, it feels like an extension of your hand; it also just has that perfect balance in your hand when shooting, and just runs fast and flawlessly. It has been a while since I was this impressed with a pistol as a package, that is also such a great deal; given the features, you get for your money, right out of the box.

Springer Precision P320 X5 Optic Adapter Plate
The only reason I did not rate it a 5 was due to the little bit of filing to make it fit. This was expected as they do tell you it may need to be filed. Don't worry it's not hard to file the one side at all, just takes a few minutes with taking a little off at a time. I would just file a little and then test fit. After a few minutes it fit perfect and presto, add some screws and you are done!! All prices are in USD. Please wait Sign in or Create an account.
